Theme 6: Strengthen encouraging thoughts

Strengthen encouraging thoughts

When you are scared or anxious, you begin to think negative thoughts and fear the worst. This shows in your behaviour and the way you talk. You can influence your thoughts. Try to identify negative thoughts and your worst fears. Try to find more positive alternative thoughts. Often they are also more realistic. Act as an encouraging example for your child through your actions and words.  This can relieve your child’s fears.
